A black hawk-eagle has been recorded for the first time in Mexico's Sierra Gorda, surprising conservationists.
Picture a hawk perched on the end of a dead tree branch, its keen eyes surveying the ground below for the slightest hint of movement. Its talons are curved blades and its beak is hooked for tearing.
